Lonewolf's Customs part 2

It's been over a year since I last made a brushable custom. Breaking the hiatus with one of the latest cute background / secondary ponies from FiM:

Simply used a stock Pinkie for the base, which let me get more aggressive with the boil perm (no paint to mar). Produced a nice result.

Now to tackle Saffron.

Well I'm finally at the hair styling stage with my Saffron:

I used  DH Deadly Nightshade and Kiss of Death for it. There's just a slight bit of difference between the 2 like on the show. The problem is I've been looking at hair curling styles and none really seem to match how her hair looks on the cartoon, so I'm wondering if I should just keep it straight? (And I may have the hair too short anyway).

Managed to get the hair wavy looking which is good enough for me. It's Dollyhair Deadly Nightshade and Kiss of Death, which are just slightly different from each other and give that slight 2 tone look her hair has on the cartoon. 
 Missing from it is her shirt, which I didn't have the stuff (or sewing skills) to make. I did make her scarf and tail band though. The beads on them are rocailles glued to short pieces of embroidery thread. The head band and ear rings are made from sheet plastic, with a band of body putty on the former for the rounded part. The ear ring jewels are clear stick on gemstones painted with glass paint. Her bracelets are made from telephone cord wire.
  I also put a bit of body putty on the tips of the ears to make them pointed.

Great attention to all the details!  Excellent job on the rave pony hair! and Saffron's hair seems really challenging.  Nice work!

So....I guess Season 6 took a hiatus so we can catch up on all the season's customs.

I uh...just read all 6 pages of your earlier customs thread and, like, WOW!  YOU ROCK!!

I especially love the gen (and other show) crossovers done both ways and the railroad stuff is inspired.

Your great pony stuff is just so perfect sitting among the airplane models and such.  Love it.

I'm brand new at this and will try to live up to the high standard you have set!  But next time I want to do a custom when the episode comes out (like Saffron) I know I better not wait or you will beat me to it...again.
