What do we know about french Glory with blue tail ?

Hello,
I have her in my collection since 8 years I think, my mother found her in a flea market.
When she gave her to me she was sad because it was a french pony with a terrific haircut... she didn't notice she was not the common version.
But I don't know anything about her. If you have some information, please help.
Also, how many are known in the community ?
What would she be worth in a good shape ?

I really don't know anything about her at all, I can't even give you a price for her I think even with a hair cut she'll fetch $$$ due to her rarity.

She is one of the oddities that France seems so good at creating

I'd estimate that the are only a handful out ther.

I hope Bibi sees this thread!

I first came across her a long time ago, where a UK person found one at a carboot sale. Sadly, I don't know where that pony ended up, but I haven't seen that many over the years.

oh cool variant !!  and hey, I always make the haircut ponies just another variety of "boy" in the herd and  i think glory rocks that proud pose with a mohawk (get a leather jacket and it'll be perfect IMO)

Well , concerning this awesome pony I only know that a few of her have been found. And even with a strong hair cut, yes she definitively have a great value as she is super rare.

I just have an idea/ hypothese about all these french oddities (who clearly make me mad because I dream to have all of them  ):

to my mind they were like test ponies: I mean I think they created them at the moment France still produced ponies, however as the number of type of ponies was not super big, I think they thought it would be cool to propose the same ponies but in different colors. That's maybe why we discovered:
- windy in strong violet hair or lavender hair
- glory with blue hair tail
- starshine with purple hair
- cotton candy with blue hair (and different pose)
- sunlight with rainbow hair
- french bow tie clearly appears to have been produced in several symbols colors: red, fuchsia, light pink, white and even in aqua body color!

for sure some of them have been discovered in more exemplars than some others but I am super sure: more of these oddities still sleep in some french garages and will be discovered in the future ;o)

as an exemple: on the french arena: one of our new member was given a cotton candy with blue hair by a friend!! 

this is just my idea

It's one of the master pieces of my collection, I'm pretty sure I'll regret it one day :/

Even if I would be super interested by her  , I prefer to advice you to keep her for 2 (and even 3)  reasons:

- 1) your mother found it , this is super cool. 
- 2) she is super rare and even with hair and tail cut, she is still super pretty and in good condition.
- 3) she is french!! ( ahaha so sorry for being so chauvinist  )

Yes, you're right. But sometimes in life money troubles decide for you ^^
If l dont manage to find another way, I'd maybe have no other choice...

Bibi thank you for posting, I've wondered if there were two or three releases of the Rainbows which slowly got more crazy

I understand some were made for export (I have French Starshine on a Belgum card) and some were made for sale within France. I wonder if some of the "rainbows" got released with the Pegasus and Unicorn ponies with the different hair?

I can't seem to see a pattern though other than only year 2 ponies got released and not all the unicorn and Pegasus ponies got made. It's a bit similar to South Africa in that respect.
