White Italian Firefly?
« on: May 25, 2016, 03:20:30 PM »
Hey :)

I know she is prone to fading but does her body fade evenly allover? I recently found a completely white italian firefly in a lot, no pink anywhere not even inside her hair plugs!?

I have one which is entirely white. It's an odd little pony and the complete lack of white strikes me as a surprise too considering fading through the entire thing seems unlikely, though I suppose possible. To add onto it, the plugs are a bit wonky and there's a factory error to his NDS symbol. I'm not sure if he's a variant or just insanely faded but you never know with nirvanas.

OMG! I want one!!

Can you pop the head off? Wonder if there is any pink inside?

Thanks for the help i figured as much so im guessing shes more like a "white windy" :P

Yeah thats what i thought too Chi as she has no pink at all and previous Italian Firefly's have owned have always been patchy but never even! I guess it can happen but like you say at the same time you never know with nirvanas!

Heres mine, she still needs washed so ignore the hair do! :P

Where did your lot come from? Does it have any oddities to it? Interested to see what you find when you open it up.
Neck, nice and even white.

Head, still evenly white.

Strange plug error and bubble in plastic next to it

No pink under him either.

She looks so pretty in white ^.^

I agree that she is faded rather than being truly white

I have seen a faded to white Italy Parasol, she had the tropical hair and she looked divine :hearts:

Italy Wave Dancer/Breaker is prone to turning completely white as well.

I don't mind if these beauties are just faded, they're so pretty. It's not too rare, but not too common either. :)

oooh I like the idea of a white parasol! (looking over at my faded italy thinking how summer is here... he he he)

I think she is so much prettier as a white/blue combo, and yah guess it's best to catagorize her like white windy

I've had a bunch of faded italy cotton candies, Skyfliers and Twilights and some of them were so evenly faded that people thought they were originally made grey/beige. But almost all of them had at least a tiny spot of pink left on the inside of the neck seam.

But that picture made me wonder... The gap between the wing and back seems almost pure white, and gaps like that are often closer to the pony's original color/shade than what the rest of the pony is, since the rest of the pony is more prone to being touched with dirty/greasy hands over the years.

I guess there's no way to know for sure, though. But it's a beautiful pony regardless :)
