Your best G1 bargain

Today I am going to pick up a whole load of ponies found cheap at a garage sale.  There are a handful of less common ponies among them.

About a month a go I found a Locket at the flea market for a quarter and a Laddy Flitter for a dollar.

Yup!  I'll have them in my grubby little hands in about 3 hours.

I got Baby Gametime for free while purchasing other ponies for a few dollars.

I found Mimic at the flea-market/swap meet in a bin of old toys.  She was $1 or $2, I don't remember which. I was shaking when I bought her thinking someone was going to snatch her from me, haha

I have dreams like that, haha! You must have been having like 17 heart attacks.

My cheapest was Sunlight. I saw her in a booth at a Comic Convention. I had my friend ask about her because I was too shy, ha. The guy just said I could have her! She's in pretty good condition, too.

I got Baby Crumpet for 5 bucks and a pink hair Yum Yum with her comb for 10 bucks.

Wow a bargain - how did you come by it for free?

A man my father works with knew I collected ponies and when he emptied out his attic he found his daughter's ponies and gave them all to me.    I nearly had a heart attack!

So far my best deal has been a beautiful Hasbro Softie Bowtie for 50 cents

Hmmm I don't think I've found anything rare for crazy cheap except I got a baby Milky Way for about $15 on ebay a year or two ago. She wasn't labelled so she didn't come up in searches and I just happened upon her and was shocked than the auction ended so cheap. I found a baby Surprise last week for $0.25 at a consignment store and I found some other G1's like Moonstone and some newborn twins at thrift stores for around $2-3. I found a Paradise Estate for $15 and that was super exciting.

So far my best deal is probably a very nice Up Up and Away and G2 Bright Berry for about $2 a piece.  I actually got them at Breyerfest haha  Up Up and Away's hair is still really pink and her symbols are quite crisp, plus I loveeeee TAFs (they're my favorite set).  Bright Berry was my first G2 (actually, still my only G2 unfortunately) and she's basically mint.  There were lots of others there that I wish I had gotten, but since I was at Breyerfest I wanted to make sure that I had enough to get all of the horses I was after so I limited myself, not to mention it was the first day I was there so I had to make my money last.  It was before I had my debit card (I was fresh out of high school at the time) so the cash I had was it for the weekend so I did need to rein myself in and make it last.

My worst deal was probably when I paid $10 for a rather grungy Peachy at a comic con just because I was so excited to find a G1 in the wild  she did clean up rather nicely (albeit with a big old ink spot under her mane) and I'm glad I got her but I knew she was a lousy deal even at the time.  There were lots of others too (also quite common) but they were even ickier and more expensive than Peachy so they stayed behind lol.
