MOC greeks - couple more added
« on: January 25, 2016, 09:25:01 AM »
Just added three more for the price check.  I'm trying to decide who I could part with as I'm working on buying a house.

Can anybody give me an idea of their values? They smell a bit dusty or possibly have a faint smoke smell.  I have them airing out with dryer sheets and the smell has been fading.

MOC Orange Greek Sunlight - card has black specks and is dusty.  Bubble lifting slightly on top edge but still secure.

MOC White Greek Starshine - card is dusty but bubble is sealed

I agree with Pinkkittywinks ' price because I would say:

$ 200 for orange Parasol as the card seen better days but she is not common and $150-160 for Starshine.

Thank you both. :)  I've been out of the loop with Greeks for a bit so I really wasn't sure.

Is it just me, or are the prices of MIB and loose Greeks pretty similar?

^.^ ^.^ Oh I love to see Greeks Mocs!! soooo cute!!

Daffodil: yes it can happen, for most greeks prices of loose and mib can be very close. However for some special rare ones the difference is big ;o)))

ok here, as for an example, are the price I have paid for my moc ones:

Orange Greek Firefly 250€
Orange Greek Medley 407 € (ok this one I Know i have overpaid it  :( but I wanted it sooo much ;o)) ) I would suggest around 250- 300€ for it
Blue Greek Sunbeam 200€  However for it I do think you can ask more as Sunbeam is more often sold loose.

And as I have told these are the price I have paid, price fluctuate (specially the greeks!)  and for sure it also depends on how many people are looking for them ;o))

hope it helps ;o)) Hugs

Bibi's prices look good to me, thank you Bibi :bigups:  prices can vary around the prices Bibi has suggested, mostly depending on who is looking to buy.

It's not you ;) the prices of the rainbows and the Pegasus and Unicorn ponies either MOC or loose is round about the same.

Ugh I know..there are so many ponies I regret not buying or even selling.  I sold off pretty much all the gems of my collection 10 years ago when I needed a down payment for my house.  I even had all the Big Brothers MOC and MOC Greek Orange Twilight.  I mean my house was totally worth it but I still see them come up these days (rarely) at way more than I sold them for.  I've been trying to get at least my munchie and Nightlight back at a reasonable price for the past year to no avail.

What gets me is that some Nirvana who were $30 MOC and couldn't be given away, almost, 10-15 years ago are now $200+ loose off card, and the people selling them are sometimes ones who got those $30 ponies, and, because there were so many then, decarded them...

Quick way to see how that impacted the price.

Greek MOC and loose being the same price is insane to me, though. One of the many reasons I don't collect greek ponies. They seem a lot more common, honestly, in comparison to some other ponies/variations/Nirvanas, than their prices sometimes dictate. I know there are a few really rare ones that come up once or twice, ever, but on the whole, I don't collect them because the price scale never made any sense to me.

There are always 2 or 3 Greek MOC ponies on ebay at any one time. By contrast, there are a lot of ponies from the regular line you  hardly ever see MOC. :-/ but if you did, they'd probably sell for less.
