Thimble's art albums, etc.
« on: November 24, 2015, 10:17:18 AM »
So what's the etiquette for spamming a large group of images, anyway?  I've noticed a lot of "somepony's art thread" type posts, is that how artists are handling it?
Should I stick to one thread, or is it okay to have several going? I have...kind of a lot of art from before, but since it's mostly not up on the net anymore, I was thinking to photobucket it and re-post it in batches.

Would that be okay, and would anyone even be interested? I mean my stuff is old and doesn't come close to what people are doing now :stunned:, but  I did a ton of adoptables and such, it seems a shame to let them sit around on my hard-drive. Oh wait, should I put those in the adoptable forum? But they've already been adopted, lol...  Um? I have no idea.

We'd love to see your art! Posting them in batches sounds like a good idea. You are also welcome to either keep your art in one thread or post new threads whenever you complete a piece, it's your choice. :) However if you are very productive, we recommend posting your work in batches or updating one thread. The rule of thumb is two threads per page. The A&C corral is not as busy as some other forums though so we're not too strict about it here; new/short threads tend to get more traffic anyway.

This is a good place to show off old adoptables too, the Adopts forum is mainly intended for adoptable offers that are currently open. :)

Looking forward to seeing your art!

I like keeping it in one place cause then you're not hunting down old threads trying to remember what was already posted XD

I used to post new art in new threads, but now I prefer to keep it together.  ^.^

Okay then, you asked for it, lol.

(Bear in mind, a lot of these are pretty terrible!)

Here have some really old art:  http://s7.photobucket.com/user/Thimblepony/library/ponyart/adoptables?sort=9&page=1

Annnnd the other album, with some old commissions and whatnot. Please do not repost any of the art in this album.

That should take care of the massive spammage problem, and I'll just post single images from here on out.

Those are really cute, thanks for sharing! ^.^ I absolutely adore the sitting Butterscotch adoptable in the first set.

The Yum Yum you recently posted in the weekly drawing challenge thread suggests that you've come really far - I'm excited to see your new artwork!

Hi Thimble, I haven't seen you in a while!  :hearts:  I always loved your adoptables.  :)

The art threads are perfect for people who post lots and lots of art to keep the forum neat and tidy.  But for members who aren't creating new art every day or so, it makes sense to post separate threads.  They usually generate more interest that way.  :)  So I think that's a good idea.
