I think that's the lot though, I'm holding out for Lightning to be found

I wonder how many are hiding in people's collections, masquerading as regular Mountain Boys!

Ember when your thai sunburst first sold a few years ago on ebay.uk the same seller at the same time sold ice a cyrstal with a blue strip in its hair... so there could be potentially be 2 of these guys. I asked the seller who you brought it from if she won that auction when sunburst sold but she never replied maybe she told you his known history?

Anyhow he is lovely it would be neat if it is the same one and the brothers have reunited again

Yes nhal39 i believe him to be the same one though there is no definative proof. I asked the original seller if she still had the ice crystal and she told me he was sold to a lady in canada. i won ice crystal from a lady in canada selling her collection on Ebay. I think thai icecrystal is the easiest of all the mountain boy ponies to spot due to his obvious hair difference. It is also cute that the brothers are reunited.

I do have another question. Do you think the dark green ice crystals stripe had been rehaired or some sort of factory defect? I believe Cloud weaver said an area of the stripe was cut and replugged and he did have a curious small area of dark blue on his stripe.

That's adorable that you've reunited them both and thank you for the history.

I notice that you Thai Ice Crystal's stripe and mane lies on the "correct side" where as the green stripe one lies on the "incorrect side"

I do remember his owner mentioning the tiny bit of blue mixed in with the green I've no idea what it means though.

Yep. It seems Thai boys have some weird inconsistancies. My thai ice crystal stripe is on the display side and his body is squishy. His body is also greener than the normal ice crystal. Thai sunburst has his stripe on the opposite side and his body is a mango color instead of light yellow and his body is hard and translucent.

All of the Thai boys have slightly different coloured bodies co paired together their GK counter parts  I've met Tornado and Fireball they both had quite rich and almost translucent body colours compared to the HK cousins.

The difference between the HK and Thai boys are subtle and I think it's hard to capture it in pictures. They are another one of those sneaky nirvanas!

Yea i did make his accessories pwk. He certainly is  a handsome boy and im glad sunburst has a brother. He was looking so lonely all by himself.
I really do hope lightning turns up. He must have been made.
Heres a comparision photo that shows the body differences.
You can also see his the thai version has a symbol that starts higher on his bum.

You've done a great job catching the colour difference on camera it's not easy to do.

I thought you had made his accessories, they suit both boys very well.

I'm glad you both think Lighting must be put there too! Ever since Fireball was found I've been convinced that he is out there. Every time I see a Lightning for sale I find myself wondering if he is Thai or not!
