Pinkie Pie’s Favorite Tasty TreatIMPORTANT: Always have an adult help you with this activity!INGREDIENTS4 cups fresh strawberries1 1/4 cups white sugar1/2 cup water1/2 teaspoon cream of tarter3 egg whites1/8 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon almond extract1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crustDIRECTIONS1. Wash and hull strawberries, slice into quarters.2. Place sugar, water, and cream of tarter in saucepan, bring to boil over medium heat. Cook, uncovered, until a small amount of mixture forms a soft ball when placed in cold water.3. Beat egg whites and salt until very stiff. Star in almond extract. Pour hot syrup slowly into beaten egg whites, beating constantly until thick and glossy. Spoon over strawberries in shell. Chill and serve.
Scootaloo’s Favorite Tasty TreatIMPORTANT: Always have an adult help you with this activity!INGREDIENTS1 cup light corn syrup1 cup white sugar1 1/2 cups peanut butter6 cups crisp corn flakes1/2 cup butterscotch chips1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chipsDIRECTIONS1. Generously butter a 9x13 inch baking pan. Set aside.2. In large pot, mix together corn syrup, sugar, and peanut butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring until peanut butter melts. Bring mixture to a boil. Remove from heat, and stir in crisp corn flakes.3. Transfer mixture into a well buttered 9x13 inch pan. With your hands well buttered, pat it down into pan.4. In a medium saucepan, over medium low heat, melt chocolate chips and butterscotch chips until smooth. Spread over top of bars and let bars cool. Cut into squares.
