What an amazing collection! It's so cool that they're all set up and people can look at them like that.

How does it make you feel watching everyone walk around and look at them all, out of curiosity?

Wow that is amazing to see it all displayed in a museum setting!  Especially with all the generations, loose and on card.

I am definitely going to make time to come see that since Dudley is not hard to get to from here. I might need some advice on buses though, since I can't navigate >< and will definitely get lost. You've done with your ponies what I remember wishing to do when I was a small kid and it's lovely seeing them all laid out with playsets and such. Your house must be a mad place when they're all home, though - I just about have enough space for all my G1 stuff but I can't display them and aside from little bits of other generations, there's just no hope of having anything else.

I'm not sure when I'll get there yet since my mother and father both had some unexpected health trips to take this week, but I will definitely be paying it a visit.

And as a midlander, I'm really stoked that it's a Midlands museum (rather than London) which has taken the step to do this :D

BTW, are photos allowed inside the gallery?

How cool is that?? Congratulations! Not only is it cool to be featured this way, I think it'd be so cool to set up a museum display in itself! I wish I could teleport overseas to see it, and bring all my friends.
I'll put something here some time

Ah, so that's your collection! I saw some pictures of the exhibit and was wondering whose collection it was. ;) Amazing! Wish I could go in person. :)

I don't live far from Dudley and there was an article about your collection going on exhibition in the local newspaper the other night - there were pics too  . Dad called me over to have a lookie and said "hey this girl has a collection like yours! Look at all the ponies! do you know her? " :P  and I said " Probably..almost definitely..but I don't know real names very often - its a pity they havent printed her MLPArena ID  :P

Thanks for all the lovely comments.  It has been really wonderful to do the exhibition, I was a bit nervous about putting my personal hobby out there as you always get killjoys and grumpy gits, but everyone has loved it :D  Every time I visit the exhibition I am inundated with questions from visitors, young and old, and recognised by people who saw me in the local newspaper.  Some little girls even wanted their photo taken with me!  It's so nice to hear families discussing it and all the women want to point out the ponies they had as children.  Lots of visitors turning up in pony clothing and the reception staff can't believe how many people are asking specifically 'where are the ponies?' and some visitors are even bringing their own ponies 'to visit the ponies' - it's fabulous!

So here are a few photos for those that can't see the Facebook page...

Wow!! How amazing and just heartwarming! I have to ask how were you approached to do an exhibit? Or did you just decide to share your collection with the museum? I think its a great positive way to share your collection with the world! Congratulations!!
