Pony section at Walmart empty?

I recently went to my closest Walmart and they had clearanced all of their pony section down and moved it to the clearance aisle. The only thing left in the regular pony section was the plushies on the bottom shelf. It was so crazy to see it empty the way it was. Has anyone else came across this? I wonder when they'll start filling it in again...

well I don't live in the US but some shops in my city have had some really weird distribution, mostly I see tons and tons of older ponies and very very few of the newer sets and yeah even some empty pony sections here and there

ours is weird too....we only have about 9-ish Equestria girls (was 10+ but I bought Sapphire Shores mwhahaha) , no normal brushables here for about 2 months but yet they can restock the $3 versions every now and then and a lot of the boxed pony sets like the Sterling and Gold Lily sets, the Twilight set with the heart and key and the moveable Pinkie Pies from how long ago LOL.

it's sad because Walmart is the only place here that actually sells ponies

They could be clearing out for new stock. Our Walmart never ever seems to clear out all the old stock.. the stock either trickles down to clearance or ends up back into the warehouse portion of the store it seems =/

The Walmart closest to me actually restocked a lot of the newer items, which I found surprising.  I saw less of those bagged ponies and that made me happy because I'm tired of seeing them all over the place.

The only hting mine has in a ton of the  old Tiwlight sparkles   when she first became a princess withte  yellow cape adn camera and the   first cadence thers aobut 40 of them    cleracned at  14.50. 

in the pony section thers bagged ponys.  and   a box of blind bags, plush and    two boxes of blind bags.

My local Wal-mart's pony section is looking pretty sparse. They haven't gotten anything new for awhile, there's only wave 12 blind bags, some older ponies (like the ones with the charms and the non tv show princesses), a few plush, and the water-filled ponies.

This is probably what's happening. They have to make room for new items and they stop ordering for a while so the shelves clear out. Most retailers do that. It's a good sign!

our walmart has no pony merchandise of any kind. they got rid of it a couple months ago, they still have the sign up but the section's filled with LPS, american girl and Fairies. I asked an associate when they'd be getting in more pony stuff and they said there won't be any for a while.

All of my local Wal-Marts seem to have a pretty full pony section but they never get anything really new in.

In contrast, the local Toys R Us stores here have pretty well stocked shelves. There's a store near me that has almost an entire aisle dedicated to MLP and they have just about everything. Maybe Wal-mart will be getting some exclusives we don't know about yet?

or maybe ponys just dont sell that well at wallmart for htem to justify buying more? since hte old stock never moves..

My local Wal-Mart's pony section is pretty small, but somewhat stocked up -- and often very slow to clearance things out and make way for new stock. =/ I generally prefer going to Toys R Us, as they have a much bigger Pony section in my opinion.

I wish I had a toys r us closer but I kind of live in the middle of no where and the closest thing I have for pony section is Walmart. I don't even like shopping there lol.

TRU is no where near me either. We have a small Walmart close to me then about 5 or so minutes away from that one is another larger Walmart and Target
