wrong hair color
« on: June 22, 2015, 07:58:44 PM »
ok (not sure what thread this belongs to)
so I just order a lot of hair (lots) and well Atomic Turquoise is Turquoise. Like in the green family. I compared my Parasol with original hair and to a rehair and they match each other but neither are even close to the new skeen. I tried to take a picture but my camera keeps making it blue even though it is greener. Mermaid is a closer color to Parasol then Atomic Turquoise and it is still to dark.

Is this now the "new" Atomic Turquoise color or have I been given the wrong color?

Hmm, mysterious.  I have some Atomic Turquoise from maybe a year ago, and I have a Parasol with original hair, and they seem to match.  If want I could take a photo comparing them, but I'd have to say it is a very very close match.  Unfortunately I don't have any Mermaid to do a 3 way comparison for ya.
Thanks to Shimmlight for the new avatar image

It's possible that you got a section of the hair that ended up more green than the color it's supposed to be. Or the company sent DH a bad batch which has happened too.
My DeviantArt, why not drop by and take a look!

I think it might be from a bad batch, as sd_dreamcrystal said. :(

Hi, Aednatia! Sorry to hear about your color issue. It's not an issue of a bad batch - the manufacturer does sometimes have a very slight color variation between production lots, but I haven't noticed anything like that with the new atomic turquoise shipment, which we've been distributing since October 2014. It is possible that we sent you the wrong color and wrote "atomic turquoise" on the bag (I caught my old assistant making this mistake a couple of times), so please email me and give me your mailing address again, and I'll send you a free hank of atomic turquoise, just to make sure that you received the correct color. -Tina

Awesome Thanks. I wanted to check around about the color first before asking you. I just wasn't sure about the color possibly changing. The top pony has original mane hair- tail transplant which is why the neck had been slightly opened and I knew the hair was original. The bottom head is the re-hair (not by me). The Mermaid looks like a match in the picture, but it isn't. It was closer than the Atomic Turquoise though so I threw it in the for comparison.

Here is the best pictures I was able to get to show the color difference.
