I would much rather have a regular sized one at this point.

Ooh, I might get her if she has her hat :) and I need her if she's got any archeo accessories

That's what gets me about the Ponymania designs.  MLP designs have always had little to no outline.  Now we suddenly have bold, think, black outlines for this embellishments (best word I can come up with) even when the actual cutie mark has barely any outline.  In fact, the overwhelm the cutie mark as the primary design feature of the pony.

I'm considering adding a thick outline to the cutie marks. I have always been a fan of elaborate TAF designs so these do it for me but the cutie mark looks out of place with thin outlines.

I have never liked Daring Do's design.  Hair that's only shades of grey coupled with a tan-orange body isn't very appealing.  I'd be okay with a tannish-orange pony or a pony with hair that's shades of grey but the two together is just homely, imo.

That being said, I do collect the fashion styles so I will probably be getting her and definitely removing her weird, floral markings.  Hasbro, if you want to keep adding more markings to ponies, try giving them a cutie mark on each side first, then go from there.

Ooo Daring Doo. I agree that I'd like to see a regular release of her. I like the funky designs on her legs and wings, but not really around the eyes.

Just read through this thread and I can already tell that I'm so getting Helia, Lotus Blossom, Lavender Honey and Lily Valley. I'm not sure about Roseluck and Maud Pie; kinda hoping/waiting for them to get a brushable release without all of those flowery tattoos (don't get me wrong they do look kinda interesting but I'd prefer to get normal versions of those two at least).

Daring Do is a pass, as I don't bother with the Fashion Style Ponies.

They should have included the weirder designs on decals, so that people could chose to apply them (or NOT) according to taste...

I would've loved this. That way anyone that actually *likes* the weird flowery stuff can have it, and everyone else gets a nice, simple pony with no extraneous, odd-looking details. :B

Or be able to apply the decals on whatever ponies you want.  In fact, just sell the decals by themselves.

I have so many mixed feelings about this new line. I'll be buying them of course, new ponies and all, but god do I despise floral patterns. Maybe on flower related ponies they're fine but Maud Pie?? Daring Do?? REALLY?

Really my dilemma is acetoning the designs off. On one hand, no gross flower patters, on the other, it would no longer be original anymore. And buying two sets is just.. money I don't bother to burn.

Ack, it looks like this line was inspired by a toy that a child went crazy on with stickers. Maybe they are going for the vintage tattoo look?? Either way, does not seem to be working.

Lily Blossom and Daring Do look the best in my opinion, Lily so much that I might leave the designs on her if I were to buy one, and I do like Daring's fern details. But acetone will definitely come into play. I am super disappointed in Celestia, she would look so much better without the silly decals or at least artfully designed ones
I am pleased that different colored ponies are getting toys. Does not always have to be bright colors! ;)

The kind of decals they include when it is apply it yourself in my experience always look like cheap paper stickers and stay on horribly.

Daring Do??
They needed to make the ferns shades of green.  And if they needed pink that badly, use flowering jungle plants.

Daring Do huh? I love her character but question again that tattooed look of her. Kinda just wanted a regular brushable with accessories but like Maud Pie I'm glad to see her join the lineup. Could only wish for her to come with her hat. Still wish Applejack had a little version of her cowbot hat too. :cloud:
