So, can I bake...

Hair with tinsel? (The translucent white stuff.) I've baked heads before with hair, no problem. But not ones with tinsel. I'm assuming this is a no-no and the tinsel will melt into a goobery glob within the hair. Eh?

That's what I would guess.

I wouldn't dare to try it straight with the head, I would test first with some similar tinsel.

Yeah, I'd test first before trying. It may be fine or it may be a disaster.

I suspect the G3 tinsel would not survive baking.  The G1 metallic tinsel might at lower temps, but I've not tested it personally.

Given that the G3 clear tinsel does not survive ironing, I'd strongly suspect putting it in the oven would be similarly disastrous. If you decide to experiment, do let us know the results. :)

In a 265 degree oven for 10 mins G3 tinsel survived. Same process, with a G1 w/tinsel, survival. Soooo in conclusion.... Always sacrifice G3's first. Low temp and set on a piece of tinfoil I have found that G1's with clear tinsel make it through low temp baking (electric stove).
