Add pictures?

How do I add pictures in my text? I was thinking about selling some ponies, but I'd like to add pictures. But I don't know how to do it. 

Do I need photobucket? I don't have that. I was hoping I could add photos direct from my computer..

Grateful for all the help I can get.

I signed up for photobucket, but I think there may be other programs? pretty sure you can't add them directly from computer. :/

Try using tinypic -> http://tinypic.com/ ! You don't have to creat an account, it's free and really fast way to upload your photos.
Then once you have them online you have to copy the link and paste it between [ img ] exactly here [ /img ] (just without the spaces, it's the little icon with a Mona Lisa painting under the B and above  icons).

Imgur is free and links to your full size images without needing to be on webpage like tiny pic/photobucket.
If you were to click this link: CLICK! you would just be taken to the image.
You can add the lowercase L in front of the ".jpg" to shrink them automatically!
Direct linking, no matter what site you decide to use, is copying the BBCode that looks like this.

I think everyone has it covered. The short version is no, you cannot upload the photos directly from your computer (we offered that on our old platform and it was a major factor in using up the server and causing the site to crash). So the photos need to be uploaded online somewhere and linked to using the IMG tags.

Feel free to use this forum to test out the code and see how everything is working.

Thank you for the help, guys!    I tried imgur and it was easy. So now I've got photos on my sales thread.

And now I know where to ask these kinds of questions. Everytime I'm super confused like 'where did my post go?'. I'm thinking I did something wrong or something and that it probably got deleted. And then I found the site for these kinds of questions.. like 'there it is!'.
