I still have my old emerald game   I did check to see what the preorders were and it was just a map--which is cool and stuff but apparently we do not get plushies at TRU.

I might get it after the holidays like I did with the last game.  Emerald wasn't my favourite but I do still want one of these versions since I can no longer play it.

At least Geodude is a better name than Zubat. Like, Geodude makes sense : Geode + Dude. Zubat? I dunno what the "Zu" is from.

I loved Lapras thanks to the Orange Island episodes where Ash rode on one throuought the season. Plus, taking pictures of it in Pokemon Snap to where it should show up and pose infront of you.

Speaking of Lapras....give it a Mega too, Nintendo!

I suppose I'm just biased toward Generation I and II Pokemon. There are some very weirdly designed Generation I Pokemon (Hypno, Magmar, and Electivire come to mind immediately), but I grew up knowing them as natural Pokemon.

That's not to say that I don't love many of the Pokemon released in later generations, though. Some of my top favorite Pokemon are from Generation V and VI. There were some very neat ideas in them, too.

I played the demo yesterday and got Mega Glalie. Wish I'd put Japanese instead and got a mega steelix.... I've kind of lost my excitement now, been waiting 4 months on preorder, and I'm not that excited, and was half tempted to cancel my preorder, but I have a deep loyalty to Sapphire, and although I don't play videogames much at all anymore as I'm preparing for uni, I do still want to at least see it once.

That's pretty much how I am. Gen 2 will always be my favorite (which is probably why the 3rd gen was disappointing to me) but I fell in love with Pokemon again thanks to gens 5 and 6.

My demo code came in, and it is downloading now!.... But i have to go to bed so I can get up for work at 6am so I wont have any time to play it T.T Which also means tomorrow's work day is going to drag on forever because I am going to want to get home to play

I've come to the conclusion that playing a demo of Pokemon is weird. Been playing these games for what? About... 14 or 15 years now and this is the first Pokemon demo to ever exist. It's just odd.  So far I'm enjoying it though, I love Mega Glalie and Mega Sceptile.

I just read some news that Mega Flygon has been "found" in the demo, along with a few others (Solrock, Lunatone and Jirachi). Mega Milotic was also hinted at. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that these aren't just silly rumors!

Preordered mine a month or two ago! Emerald was my first game so I'm super excited. I'll be getting Ruby this time 'round~

I haven't been keeping up with the news really.. I like going into games relatively 'blind', it's more fun that way, at least for me :B.

Not really the first. There was a Gold and Silver beta (then known as PocketMonsters 2) demo, which was presented in a playable form at the Nintendo Spaceworld 1997.

Still, though, the ORAS demo is the first demo to be available to a wider public, rather than being an event-only game.

Huh... that should be interesting. But I'll wait until someone'll leak the screenshots - then I'll know for sure, if this is legit, or is someone just making it up for lulz.

Also, I wonder, if and when Nintendo will start distributing the legendary Pokemon that were found in the X and Y sourcecode along side Diancie (Hoopa and Volcanion).
