Oops, sorry.  Yeah, not my thing.  Good for people who like variants, though!  I prefer the regular, show-colored Funkos over all variants and the regular, black minis over all of THEIR variants.

That one is not an official Funko product, so you can't blame Funko for that.

I'm glad I decided to only collect the regular versions, no glitter or other variations. I wouldn't have room or money for them all.

Whilst the Funko's are nice and show accurate etc, all these "variants" do not inspire me at all. I like the regular releases, the normal ponies, but the glitter ones, metallic ones, and what ever other gimmick they are going to throw in next just show a lack of imagination.  Same molds, same characters in 100 different ways in ever increasing prices. No thanks.

Totally agree Sandi, If I were to collect the Funko's (I only have Muffin at the moment cos she was such a good bargain on a FB pony page) it's only be the normal ones. I may make an exception for Pinkie Pie variants for my army but they'd need to be stupidly low priced.

Ditto. I like the metallic hair, but I dont think i will pick one up unless she wows me in person. Not super thrilled with the possible black rainbow dash as a Target exclusive, wish it was CMC or other new characters.

This is excactly what I was about to say. The coloring of her forelock was a bit off so I never picked up the first RD. Might get this one, but other funko's I'm after come first.

They are still doing new ponies pretty regularly. I'm just saying if they are going to give us a variant on the side make it something more exciting than just painting it black.
