Who collects ponies how many

Hi every pony,
i am wondering how many people actually collect my little ponies. My family really dont believe me when I say that there are a lot more people out there who collect ponies than just me. And have more than i do.

I have about 500 ponies if i counted right. And im running out of room. I know there are people who have over 1000.

So how many?

Collectors: 18
The most ponies that we know of: 1700 +

that's not even showing all the MIB G3's in the closet - though I am selling those off slowly to get my closet space back.

At last count I have around 200 G1 ponies - not including petites or the plushies.

I'm working on making a full inventory currently (it's been a long process, getting complete lists for each gen). I'll have to check my numbers when I get home - I think I'm up around 600 by now. And then there's pony/non-pony stuff (like Ponyvilles, McDs, plushies) and all the merch (books, calendars, shirts, etc etc etc).

Soon I need to print my list and literally go through every room in the house to find out all the pony stuff that I have, and make sure my lists are accurate.

Are you asking how many My Little Pony COLLECTORS there are in the world? That is an interesting question. Arena membership might be a good place to start for a ballpark estimate.

how many people collect ponies,  knowing that people have more ponies than me is a bonus.

Oooh... I'm not sure how many G4s I have (this is counting all merchandise, not just the ponies themselves) and now I'm collecting G1s.  Way too many, that's how much I have.

I looked at my very out of date collector's log and I'm guessing 300, but I think it's probably a lot more.

My collection is really small, just 9 proper MLPs (7 G1s and 2 G3s) and also 3 fakies. I tend to be really picky with ponies.

Generally the mlparena and trading post websites/forums are where the collectors hang out. So I'd say a majority of the people who hang out here and the tp are collectors.

I have about 50-60 G4 blind bags, 30-40 brushables, about 15 larger sized brushable ponies (Fashion Style, Styling Size, Talking Princesses, etc.), about 8 plushes from various makers, 12 Equestria Girls dolls, and 6 G3s.

People always see one of my two pony rooms (yes) and ask me every time they see me, just out of the blue, "So... how many do you think you have?" And I keep saying I don't know and they insist, "You MUST have some idea. How many?"

I seriously have no idea. I really want to count or take inventory or something but I'm super lazy when I'm not busy and usually I'm busy.
