Win a Simple G4 custom
« on: October 01, 2014, 12:41:41 PM »
How do you win? simple, click over to the off topic forum and fill out my survey.. Also you will have your choice of a simple custom by me or a MoC NurseRedheart

Here are examples of simple customs I have made. Two are making there debut: Greek Medley and Sugar Twister. I wanted to wait to post them till I finished their 'sisters' but also wanted to provide examples. (the original picture I have for Greek Medley I thought her hair looked green later did I realize it was blue, but I like green so I kept it)

Those are really cute, nicely done and thank you for sharing :D

Did you dye her hair greener? What did you use to paint the new symbols?

I'm really new to customs and a little curious

I didn't dye the hair greener. I think it just looks greener because of the light and the fact it is on a yellow pony so it isn't washed out. The part close to the ear is a little more blue because it is from a G3 Lulabelle.

The paints are Applebaum or CraftSmart both acrylic and only 1 dollar a bottle. Just simple cheap paint. Sometimes the paint gets little bumps (dry bits) in it but they can be smoothed out after it dries with a micro fiber cloth (like the kind for glasses that don't shed) a little more paint might be needed as the little clumps sometimes take a bit with them coming off.
