Collecting dilemmas
« on: August 29, 2014, 06:16:58 AM »
So I've been hunting down a couple of TEs for awhile now.  I have found one that is MIP but really a little more than I wanted to drop on that pony.  I want her but she's not a grail pony by any means.  If it were a mint Sweet Pop, I would toally go for it.  I love Sweet Pop.  I may just hunt a while longer and save the money for a real grail.  BUT I WANT TO FINISH THAT COLLECTION!   >_<

Similar- finding a pony on your wishlist in the wild, then not having the guts to buy it at the asking price.

If it's more than you want to spend then hold off. The best thing about the TE's is that there are quite a few out there, even if it doesn't seem like it sometimes. Look at it this way, if you buy this one that you're not sure about, then that mint MIB Sweet Pop shows up and you don't have the money for it, will you enjoy this pony or resent it?

The only thing I would say is the joy of collection means you dont really need to rush - there is always something to collect and very few items come up so seldom that you cant simply be a little frustrated but shrug and wait til the next one comes around.

Over the years I have discovered being a pony collector requires patience :P

This, exactly!  And remember that everything eventually comes up for sale again.
