Golly, I hope no one is throwing away yellowed pieces? They can at least be customized via full painting, right?

Not necessarily. I dont have the time or talent or too much interest to personally customise yellowed playsets and very few people are ever interested in covering what the actual shipping cost for something like that is (even if you are offering up the set for free). Sometimes things do have just go to the charity shop for a good cause or, for me, the experimenting space.

In the past, NEVER! I always would find someone in the city to take a baity playset off me, or someone who would just cover shipping (yes, people have done fabulous custom repaints! Seen some great stuff done with shells). Even though I have found people who would like them, I have not found anyone willing to cover the rates canada post charges these days to take these off my my hands. honestly don't blame them it's insanity! if you're in the states you could buy a nice castle and have it shipped for the same price it costs to ship my junky one. I also live in a village, don't live in a city anymore so even something like CL or classifieds wouldn't work.... and since they look like garbage, most thrifts would have to pay to throw them away and they wouldn't end up on the sales floor anyway..... oh well.

I did use the 50 volume.  I picked mine up at Sally's without them ever asking to see a liscense - I don't know if that's a location thing or if the person at the register just didn't know to check.  I had no idea at the time that it could be an issue.  Sadly, the playsets I whitened with it have re-yellowed.  It could be from storage though and they may hold up better if out on display in more stable conditions.

Dagburnit!  I give up!  This helped my waterfall playset and my show stable tons, but I can't tell if it's doing anything for my nursery.  It's taking forever and if it's just going to yellow again, then what's the point?  My show stable hasn't yellowed again, but the waterfall did.  I just got finished whitening the waterfall again, but I don't know how long it will last.

I will say, I think the 40 creme might be useful for restoring yellowed stickers.  I got some on the show stable's stickers and it brightened them but didn't hurt the color.  I've been gradually putting a little on the stickers, and so far no damage.  I'm not ready to make a call on it yet though.

I think I'll paint over the very yellowed spots.  I think if I match the colors exactly and put a gloss on afterwards it will look pretty good.  My husband thinks I should put a glaze over the playsets I did anyway, he thinks it will help them no re-yellow and will make it safer for the ponies to touch the playsets that were treated.

You guys have probably seen this:  https://www.etsy.com/listing/82561382/my-little-pony-custom-ooak-candy-parlour   I LOVE it and think it turned out so gorgeous.

I'll add a disclaimer about the re-yellowing to my site.  I wonder how often this happens?  :(

Man, the waterfall re-yellowed? That thing was awesome! Yes, please add a note and maybe pics of the re-yellows to the site. Oh well, I've got the 40 creme and a yellowed PE roof just sitting here...

Any of the sets unfortunately will re yellow - although the degree and speed is going to vary and it could even be pretty mild. As mentioned by Fantastic earlier, unfortunately the flame retardant chemicals will pretty much continue to discolour the set.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

Where are folks getting this?  I can only get the 40 volume creme and from photos I've seen of folks who've brightened playsets using the 50, it doesn't work as well.  It seems to take way longer than what's been described to me with the 50, the playsets don't get as white, and the yellow seems to come back kind of fast.

I stopped at a Sally's, but was told that you have to have a license to get it.  My playsets look tons better using the 40, but not near as good as I had hoped.   :(  I was hoping to get results more like the photos pictured here:

Does this work on only white parts of playsets or will it work on say the pink roof of the lullabye nursery?

I bought my saloncare volume 40 on ebay.    They seem to still be selling there.

I've had pretty good luck using it on the pink roofs of the Paradise Estate. It may lighten the pink a bit, but it did take care of a lot of the yellowing. If the roof is completely orange, it'll just lighten it to a lighter orange color. But if the pink just has a bit of yellowing, it should work to take care of that.
