Here is my list.

1.   Eternal Sailor Moon (from the anime series Sailor Moon)
Eternal Sailor Moon is Sailor Moon’s final form. In the beginning of the series, Sailor Moon is portrayed as a "reluctant heroine" who is unwilling to fight and flees from her enemies, often having to be bailed out or rescued by others. Throughout the series, she begins to develop into a mature, confident, and reliable heroine, who always puts others first. It is this transformation of character that I admire so much in Sailor Moon, which is why her final form is my favorite, because I feel it represents all the difficulties and sacrifices she endured throughout the series to become the best version of herself.

2.   San (from the anime film Princess Mononoke)
When San was a baby, the wolf goddess Moro attacked her parents, who were found damaging the forest. Moro raised San as her own daughter, and in turn, San treats Moro as her mother and Moro's two natural pups as brothers. San’s primary concern is protecting the forest and the animals she lives with. San rejects her own humanity and even thinks of herself as a wolf. I love the message of this movie (the importance of protecting the environment) and I believe San is the character that most strongly identifies with this message.

3.   Sango and/or Kirara (from the anime series Inuyasha)
Sango is a demon slayer, aged sixteen, who hails from a village of professional demon slayers. Sango's most powerful weapon is the Hiraikotsu, a massive boomerang made of purified demon bones. Sango is accompanied into battle by Kirara, her two-tailed demon cat partner and friend. Kirara has two forms: one of a small kitten, and one of a large saber-toothed cat. I admire Sango because not only is she strong and brave, she is also selfless and compassionate. I also really love the relationship between Sango & Kirara, they are very loyal to one another and care for each other greatly.

4.   Gatomon (from the anime series Digimon)
In this series, eight Digimon and eight human children (referred to as DigiDestined) are chosen to fight evil and save the world. Gatomon is a Digimon in the form of a white cat with a power ring on her tail. Originally, Gatomon's egg was separated from the other seven chosen Digimon during an attack. After she hatched, Myotismon found her and turned her evil. When Gatomon learns that she is one of the chosen Digimon, she joins Kari (her human partner) and the other DigiDestined in their fight against evil. I admire Gatomon because even though she has suffered through so much, she is able to overcome all the pain of her past and return to the side of good.

5.   Unico (from the anime films The Fantastic Adventures of Unico and Unico in the Island of Magic)
Unico is a baby unicorn who was born with the very special gift of making all living creatures lighthearted and happy. This angers the gods, who believe only they should be able to control emotions. The gods send the West Wind to banish Unico to the Hill of Oblivion, but the West Wind takes pity on Unico and declines to follow the gods' commands. Furious, the gods send the Night Wind to capture Unico. To protect Unico, the West Wind must continually transport him from place to place. Whenever the gods discover Unico's whereabouts, the West Wind appears to spirit him away once again, often without getting to say goodbye to any of the friends he has made - and without any memory of those friends, as Unico's memory is wiped clean each time. I love Unico’s optimistic spirit and his ability to bring happiness to everyone. Also, since Unico was my first anime, it will always have a special place in my heart.

I've been sooo busy.  Ok here is my list.  I let the mods know we are done so we should be cleared soon but don't forget your feedback!

sebastian michaelis from black butler.  I like his character because it is dark.  I am deeply interested in the master servant relationship.  I like that Sebastian always stays true to his nature. His never ending devotion to Ciel is admirable, but at the same time he is never more than he pretends to be.  He is never good or kind of loving.  He is always a demon butler bent on earning and eating the young boy’s soul.

Jin from samurai champloo
He is an adult male Ronin.  He is honorable, brave and strong.  I like him because of his calm, stoic personality.  He is very cold at times and watching the progression of him developing a friendship with the other characters is intriguing.

Howl Jenkins Pendragon from howl’s moving castle. I love how arrogant he can be.  He can be so childish and playful, but at the same time there is a pain and depth to his character that transience the air of lightness around him.  I prefer him with black hair later in the movie rather than blonde hair.

erza scarlet from fairy tale.  Erza is tough and strong.  She is a fine, empowered woman.  I love her strength and abilities.  She is inspirational despite her tragic past. She has a variety of armors and weapons she uses and I love them all equally.

kyo from fruits basket. He is hot headed and antisocial.  He always says and does the wrong thing.  His passion is unequaled even if he doesn’t know how to funnel his energy into anything productive.  He transforms into a cat when hugged by a member of the opposite sex.
