Paging Petite Pony Playset Pros! Need castle info!

Hi!  I need some help from someone who knows about the Petite Castle playset.  I picked up basically just the shell of it years ago and have been slowly adding spires, towers, etc.  I have the sections with the lightbulb and the battery (works!) but I can't figure out how the elevator is supposed to trigger the light to come on.  I need a lever or something that would push the metal against the battery. 

I've looked at all kinds of pictures of the castle and I can't quite see how this is supposed to work.  I have a few spare parts and pieces that MIGHT go with the castle so I was hoping someone would have pictures or would take some for me so I know how to set it up or what I need to add to my want list!

And I'm still hunting for pieces to complete the set if you have any for sale!
