Simba "Sylvanians"

My friend found these West Germany sylvanian knockoffs by Simba at the goodwill outlet and got them for me. Opa Mole is still in his box. Anybody ever heard of these guys? I love the moles!

I loved those as a kid and used to have a lot of them!! "Bärenwald" (the english name is "Bear Family") was the name of the series, try google and you will find a lot of information!

I wonder how they traveled to a goodwill store in WI. Guess its like the random bag of Kinder Surprise egg toys I found at a different thrift store.

You have to love Simbas determination for duplication These guys look really cute! I didnt know Simba had done Sylvanian knock offs - pretty cool to find them MIB and so far from home.

I have some fakie bears  that look like that!  I wonder if they may be simba as well?  ::need to look for them::

Oh, very nice finds! I especially like Opa Mole I have a family of Simba bears. I personally like their faces a little better than the Sylvanian/Calico Critters bears.

Simba has some pretty cool animals - even lions that no other flocked series has! (I mean a whole family - there's the Maple Town lion mayor of course.) They're pretty high quality and very cute! I had the Simba bear family when I was a kid. Simba also distributed Forest Families in Germany, in their own Bear Family/Bärenwald boxes. The moles are exclusive to Simba though.
