I'd bought my QC here in Germany about a week ago.
And I was wondering if she's broken?

She's only laughing but not talking 
I feel stupid now.
My first thought was that she's on a "demo - mode" but couldn't find a switch
I've also opened her but the only thing I found of course were the batteries.

Isn't she suppose to talk here in Germany?
Hope anyone could help!

I think you'd better contact Hasbro, that doesn't sound right (although I guess I don't know if all the QC's that made it to Germany have no voices?)

You know, now you come to mention it, I was trying out the talking Chrysalis in UK TRU the other day, and she was just laughing. I figured it was on a demo mode or something.. Has anyone here bought her from a UK store? Maybe the non-US releases don't talk?? owo

I have bought her and she only laughs. I thought that's not right as she is supposed to talk. I mean why would Euro version be different?

Now that you mention it, I feel silly for not checking the box. I cannot remember what it said.

LOL!  Well if the box says that she talks, than I would be seriously irritated with Hasbro right now!  If not, well, I guess maybe its possible they nixed the voice for the international release rather than doing her voice in different languages?

Did any of you get any of the earlier talking princesses like Luna or Celestia? Did those ones talk?

The UK TRU website says she talks: "This electronic pony talks to you and has wings that move and light up!"

Well, same description as what is on the US site.  I can probably see why they would have a non-talking version for non-English speaking countries (because it might be costly or complicated to have a number of country-specific ponies) but you'd think that for the U.K., the version would be the same as the U.S.

But maybe they have a Euro/Latin version and a US/Canada version .... not sure what the answer is but I'm curious.

Not checked the box either but of course the toysrus website description says it's also talking.
Hasbro replied that they are not responsible cuz it's a toysrus exclusive I have to contact toysrus directly, we'll see what they've to say ...

No Nightmare Moon (at least not that I know of), but we did get Celestia/Cadance over here, and they both talked. So I dunno what's up with this. -shrug-

Okay, I checked the box earlier on while I was at TRU and it just says "her wings light up". So I guess only the US version talks, how disappointing. I mean, I'm not too interested in her anyway (not a fan of the 'lingerie', plus I don't really have the space for her), but still.

Oh that is disappointing!

I would guess its due to not wanting to spend extra for her to talk in multiple languages. Because they cheat for a lot of the line and parcel international releases all in the same packaging and because she is a limited line release rather than a core item. Booo

I pressed the button a few times earlier at TRU and it seems it's just the one laugh track :/ Seems a bit tacky. What did they do with the other talking ponies? Did they talk or just make random noises?

The initial 2 releases - Celestia and Cadance - were proper core releases to the line - in fact I think the Celestia from the first year was the line driver if I remember correctly - therefore they got relevant language releases.
