I saw this at the Target and got excited.. then I realized, "No Applejack???" and just dropped it back in the display without another thought. No Applejack for me, no money for you, Hasbro. *disapproving head shake*

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the above posters that is it a very good possibility that poor Applejack just isn't "girly" enough.  It is sad that in a lot of newer merch I have noticed Princess Celestia is replacing AJ - but as a marketing standpoint, it is widely perceived that a pretty horned, winged pastel pony princess is more marketable towards girls than an orange and yellow country pony.  While in some cases this may be true, but it  is sad that some people think girls "have to like pink."  OK I admit pink is my favorite color, but still! :p

Because I like to use my time wisely, I bummed around a few stores specifically looking for AJ excluding merchandise. To be fair, there were plenty of AJs out there, but here are the ones where she just wouldn't fit on the merch...

That sticker set... not only is AJ being phased out but so is Applebloom! Sweetie and Scootaloo are there but neither of the Apples.

The weird thing is, going by the numbers, everyone has 4 different Rainbow Rocks Equestria Girls dolls except for Fluttershy, who only has 3.
