New G4 Theme: Wild Rainbow

Well...from a sales point of view, it's likely a very safe choice - kids generally like bright and colourful, and a rainbow isn't gendered into "male" or "female", and the "wild" thing also incorporates wild animals...which generally kids also like. I'd rather see rainbows forever than more "ALL LITTLE GIRLS LIKE PINK. NO EXCEPTIONS. NONE."

I personally think the animal print is a little gaudy but....I'll reserve further judgement until we see more from this line. I will, however, let out a pre-emptive sigh if it does turn out to be another exclusive line.

Oooh! Interesting theory. I wonder if it will be the whole line or as others have mentioned something like a Target/Walmart exclusive line - seems early for us already to be seeing what would take over from Rainbow Power...but I guess you never know.

I saw those journals @ my Target too but I didn't connect them as being anything new.

I wonder about this theme.

So, I'm sorta okay, maybe they go on a PONY SAFARI!!!  and visit a new land with all sorts of Non Pony characters, Zebra's, Lions, Tigers, Gazelles.   Possibilities for toys?

How about gradient rainbows, like the Sunbrights? Now that would be slightly different enough to be interesting.

To me this just looks like Hasbro is finally running out of ideas what to do with their character repeats. "Better than pink" is a very low standard, IMO.
I have never bought G4 character repeats and I don't plan on doing it. All I want is more variety in the toy aisle for little girls.

I've only been into ponies since G4 and I think Hasbro ran out of ideas long, long ago. If we want to see variation in toys for little girls, Hasbro is not the company that's gonna do it. Certainly not in their MLP line, anyway, unless their merchandising team fires whoever keeps deciding we need more re-releases of the mane six with a new hair clip.

I'd like to say "better than unbrushable-tinsel", too, but I won't jinx it...

I noticed this CMC pop pony set on Target's webite has the Wild Rainbow logo/theme.
