Pony Mania Ponies found in box!

Although it's still the same characters being released time and time again, I really love the punk vibe that these give off. So tired of the constant overwhelming girlyness in the toy market. Maybe their hoping to market to younger boys as well as the girl market?

The current favourites set is certainly shelf warming in my local stores - £39.99 for 7 ponies may not actually be too expensive [£5-6 per pony] but I think when you compare it to what else can be bought for the same price it suddenly feels pricey for many people.

I nearly bought the second set from...A1 Toys? I think? But I realised I only really wanted 3 of the ponies from the set so it wasn't really worth it for me. I think it does have an advantage over the first one (SH not having been released without that castle playset before, Lyra being very hard to find outside the bagged brushies, and the ever-popular grey pegasus, plus I think DT and Lyrica have their fans. I think the latter is very pretty but don't care for the former. Maybe if they'd given her unique eye decals and an expression...) but... yep, £40 is a lot of money at once, especially on plastic toys, though I think they are charging a fair price, considering they have likely imported them from TRU US and thus not gotten any kind of bulk or wholesale discount or anything like this. It's a shame, as the UK hasn't seen any new characters since Sunset Shimmer and Wysteria (I'm not counting Mrs. Cake as that set has been impossible to find. Nowhere aside independent stores seems to stock those £12.99 playsets =/)

I could easily see UK TRU asking £60+ for one of the Favourites sets considering the prices they charged for the PPB items. I don't have a high opinion of the store in general, though xD I don't think I've spent a penny in there on pony items as the stock has always appeared elsewhere first, and usually a third cheaper.

Uhhhh.. I can live with out this.. I mean the kiss pony thing is cute.. it is. But I already have more clones than Neon Genesis Evangalion So i think im going to pass.
I wish they hurry up and show some more pics of socks Chrissy.. now her.. im gonna buy.. i dont care if shes not show accurate .. shes just beautiful! how often do you seen a BLACK pony?
also saving my dough for the snow globe ponies and photo finish.

hope the price reflects that 
they could have included AJ and make it 7 ,so mean of them to cut her off again of a set
I will get them when they are like  half price or maybe it will be a pass.
30  or  40 dllrs get me some nice  G2s LOL    

Oh no- is this really the new favorites set?  In the past those had always been primarily made up of new characters.  I really hope we get a favorites set with new characters.

On an unrelated note, my 7 yo daughter accused me of never using smileys so here are some smileys she decided we should include:

  <-- for all the ponies in this set except Celestia which she     I was really hoping we didn't have to buy these in a set.  I don't want to have to buy the set for one pony, so I probably won't end up buying it.
