I had no idea what Baby Fifi's real name was so I called him Poochie and he was a boy. ;)

Daddy Sunbright is in the Shady pose but he was marketed as male of course. Made me think of Shady as maybe like George Michael in Wham! But then I didn't watch too many cartoons so I don't have a definite idea what her personality is like. Gender bending is fun!

To me, Sunbeam was a boy in my childhood herd.  I think it was the color scheme and symbol that made this particular pony seem masculine to me as a kid.  I'm sure there were others, but Sunbeam is the only one I really remember being a "boy".

Whirly & Moonstone were boys, mostly because they were my brother's ponies. Oh, and yah Baby Fifi was very much a boy. Hmmmmm, these are all blue ponies...

Sky Rocket was always a boy in my herd. And Firefly and Medley became boys when my little sister cut their hair off. Other than that I had this fakie horse that was a stallion and I used those for romantic scenarios.

It's funny, when people tell me that their pony 'so and so' is a boy in their herd and show the pic I can totally see it, even though I still see my own pony 'so and so' as a girl. It's like they each have their own individual personalities embedded in them! Keep sharing :)

My boy pony was 80's Applejack, way before Big Bros came out. I had alot of trouble adjusting to her being female since watching FIM.

Not my pic but I recall being confusing pulling out the card for PrismGlider. Haven't decided if mine's mtf or ftm yet.

I love prism glider for this same reason! Mine is ftm :) the card is how he wants to be seen, and his blind bag is in transition :)

When I inherited my Sweet Stuff and Sky Rocket from a cousin, they both came to me with cropped manes and tails  I think the combination of the pose and haircuts made me think of them as boys.  :P

I also had quite a few babies that I decided were boys, like Splash and Stargaze. I always though it was a bit sad that the boys were so vastly outnumbered (heck, I still feel sad about that!).

:O Do you still have them with their cropped manes and tails?! I'd love to see them!

Here is my other Sweet Stuff recently acquired with cropped hair. I also put him/her in dance gear covering you-know-what marks

S/he looks so brave and also kinda sporty I've decided to put her/him on top of my fridge to remind me to stick to my diet!

Baby Sleepy-Pie and Baby Ember (the lavender one) were always boys to me when I was a kid. With Baby Sleepy-Pie it was because he had a blue main and tail so that meant he had to be a boy and Baby Ember was a boy because he didn't have a symbol so he couldn't be a girl because girls had symbols.

My G1 genders pretty much stayed along traditional lines.  As an adult, the lack of G3 boys irritated me.

So, here is the wedding of Applejack and Autumn Crisp:
