BAB ordering from overseas help? And questions!

Hi peeps!
I'm going to a BaB this summer, and have checked with them what ponies they'll have.
I want a Pinkie for me, and a Rarity for the hubby.
However, they won't have Pinkie, so I'm thinking I'll order a skin (or maybe both ponies, since buying from overseas is cheaper than going in a store here).

How does this work? Someone said I should be able to order an empty skin. How do I do this? I can only find the stuffed toys on BABW.

I checked the shipping, and it's MORE than the ponies together. Would somepony be able to order for me? A couple empty skins shouldn't cost me $55 to ship.

If worst comes to worst, I'll only order a pinkie skin and get a rarity for him at the store.

Or have I gotten the whole skin thing wrong?

Unfortunately, as someone who has paid their shipping before - That is indeed the cheapest from the US. Even unstuffed (though despite my request, they still sent me one stuffed...). I was kinda desperate to get the ones I wanted and I'm still glad I ordered, but yes, it's unfortunate but that is the shipping.

I'm sure someone here can help you with this though

It's just so steep, I mean 50 bucks for shipping a skin!
I hope someone will be able to help me So I have to request getting an unstuffed pony in the requests box?
How does that work by the way,can I just walk into a BABW and show them my skin and receipt and fill it?
I've never been to a BAB before, so I'm a complete noob

Yep, if you just put a little message stating you'd like them sent unstuffed, they should send them that way ('should' is the key word here - Like I said, they sent one of mine stuffed when I asked them not to, and when we questioned it they told us to take it to BAB and told us that they would unstuff it so we could stuff it).

And yes, if you take it to the store, show them the receipt and they should have no problems stuffing it for you. We took ours to Hamley's in London and they were very helpful

Perhaps somebody here in the US could pick them up and ship them. I'd offer, but I couldn't guarantee when I could get into the store.
