What would you do?
« on: December 19, 2013, 11:10:35 AM »
Bought a G1 MIB MO Pinwheel, listing says never opened. There is a hole in the bag, does not look like it is was intentionally opened, it is at the seam. but it was not mentioned in the listing. What would you do? I do not want to return it because this is my first ever MIB G1...would you just let them know about it or what?

I think if I were you I'd just send the seller a polite message - starting off wirh something positive about the transaction (such as you're happy with the fast delivery, love the pony, whatever...) and then tactfully mention the hole at the seam . Let the seller know that you do not wish to return the pony, but they might want to double check if they have any other MIP/MIB items to sell since some collectors are more picky so they need to know  if there are any splits/damage etc to the packaging before they buy as it can affect the value of the item(or something like that). The seller may (or may not ) offer you a partial (they dont have to), or they may just apologise and (hopefully) learn from the experience and be more careful with their listings in future :awake:

This is what I would suggest also.

Dont worry - its not being mean , its being helpful ;)  plus thats why you start the message with something positive about the transaction  to keep 'em in a good frame of mind from the start and assure the seller you dont want to return the pony etc  :)
