MLP Collectible Card Game !!

My fiance's local game place got them in yesterday so we picked up 6 packs (They were 3 for $10) and then both starter decks. I was in my local TRU and should have checked to see if they had the CCG. I had no idea they were 30% off 'til I bought the Mind Seize Commander Deck which made finding it for my fiance that much better.

I just got home from the pre-release event in Dallas, which was pushed back to this week because of bad weather- it was so awesome

I ended up playing 6 times and won all of them~ I also managed to get a Nightmare Moon promo! I ended up building a Twilight/Rarity deck half way through using only the cards from the starter sets and my husband made a Dash/Applejack deck. Over all everything seemed really balanced- (with the exception of the few cards with errors on them) and really fun to play. I will say the learning curb is a little high to start, a few people who came to play dropped out after there first game.

Ooh. Ha, I totally misunderstood in the past then (I must of seen 2vs2 magic the gathering, and assumed that's how it was supposed to be). Thank you~

The booster box even says this on the back "this game is made for 2 players."

Question - do you have to have both of those starter boxes to play the game? I only got the Rainbow Dash one, I didn't see any Twilight ones Do I need to get the Twilight Sparkle one too?

Also, what do the C, U, etc. letters stand for in the rarity category? Common? Unique?

you do need two started boxes to play the game- each box has one whole deck. the C, U, stuff is a rarity indicator-
C-common
U- uncommon
UR- ultra Rare
F- fixed (cards only available in the starter box)
P- promotional

R- Rare

I managed to find some not too far from me, and I built an AJ/RD deck. My booster box should be here soon, I'm really excited!

I don't remember if anyone mentioned this, but the non-foils of the starter decks will be released later (IIRC, Enterplay said in NEW starter decks... so we will be seeing foil AJ, Rarity, ect.)

We bought the single RD / Rarity set and enough boosters to make a second deck!  It worked out nicely.  But... The game is a little too complicated IMO.  It's harder than MTG.  Too hard for kids unless you simplify.   Faceoff, double face off, third faceoff!! D:
We might take out the Action Tokens and just roll a die for how many you get each turn.

I know what you mean. In the game you score 1 action token when you've already confronted a problem and your opnnonent hasn't (on every single one of your turns that happens). It adds up quickly, so sometimes for longer games we play without that rule.

My local comic store called today and said the double pack is in!  Headed there after supper
