Weight of unstuffed giant plush?

Has anyone unstuffed a G3 giant plush for postage?  Do you remember how much it weighed approximately?

It's been a while but I managed to dig out an old receipt that says 500g - 1kg weight range (the quote seems to match so I think that's about right), that included a Tough Bag and a little padding.
So under 1kg BUT I do recall that there is a difference between the thin fur and the extra thick plush versions that can push it into the next weight bracket, so it's best to be wary of estimates until you've destuffed and can double check yourself.

Hope this has helped ^.^

Thanks for your reply.  I thought it would weigh more than that so this is good news!  I didn't know there were two different kinds of plush.  This is giant Minty if it makes any difference.

Same here Avene, I've sent 2 out and I wished I'd kept the other receipt so I could double check the weight.

I think the Giant Minty came in thin fur and thick fur but I'm not sure, they may be slightly different sizes as well? All I know is I was quite surprised when I weighed a thicker one and she came up heavier than I was expecting, it's funny and makes sense in retrospect but I wasn't laughing at the postage price hike :P

I've never unstuffed them, but I can confirm that thick fur versions are heavier. My giant ponies with thin fur weigh 5kg or under, whereas the thick fur versions weigh at least 5.5 or up to the 6.5kg mark. Giant Minty was released three times - the earliest has thick fur, is 3 feet tall and I believe is from either 2004/2005. The second release has thin fur, is 2.75 feet tall, was released either 2005/2006 and came with the butterfly backpack accessory. And the third has thin fur, is 3 feet tall and from 2007. I hope this helps you. :)

Do you have actual people scales :P I know it sounds weird but when shipping large packages in the past I end up boxing them up and then put something heavy on the scales to get a balance weight...then pop the parcel on top...subtract one from the other and voila a shipping weight :)

I have scales. I don't have the pony yet nor have I unstuffed her, hence the question!

Ahhh....that makes sense :)

I just live in fear of weight estimates - every time I try them in the past I end up costing myself more than I planned in shipping due to miscalculation :P
