She's against the idea of getting him anything pink or girly
It really saddens/angers me that his mother is against getting him toys she perceives to be "girly" though.

I'd go with the Spike plush from Build-A-Bear! I think he's $10 or $12. You don't need to "build" him - he's already pre-assembled I think that's the least-girly for the MLP products I've seen. The train set is pretty pink-dominated, so that probably isn't what she's looking for - unless the boy loves trains lol. If you want one of the boy unicorns, look on eBay and someone may be selling a single of him (Shining Armor I believe is his name). Originally I think he came with Princess Cadence, but if you only want the boy, you may be able to find him "loose" on eBay or on the sales section here at the arena.Oh - and I don't know if he'd like it, but - you could also go with the Funko Dr. Whooves! He's brown with a tie. There's also the Funko of the wonderbolt pegasus (but don't ask me her name because I have no idea - she's sold at Toys R Us )Good luck!!!
