So it says I got 48th place in the mine cart event but then it doesn't give me my gems I won? How do I go about fixing this? Or will they just show up later, like lag in prize handing out? Or is this something I just have to accept? EDIT: Wait was the prize for that event gems? I thought it was but now I have bunch of extra hearts. I can't remember

Also I was already annoyed... my husband started playing because he saw me playing it a bunch. He's so good at the mine cart game he's breaking 20k but I can't get past 2k.

WOW!! that's the highest score I've ever seen, way to go!! I think the highest I got, EVER, was 1100, and that had a lot of luck involved!

0.0!!! my highest is maybe 150.... but im not very good at the games. 
never really have been.
my default video game is pokemon. little to no hand/eye coordination required.

I'll add you soon.  But with a score of 58th place that would have given you second prize which was indeed hearts not gems.

So... Totally rude one upping I'm about to do, but I've been taking screen shots at the end of games now because of the fact I didn't get my prize that one time.  This was my score for the last clear the skies.  Only came third though.  Some people are so good at it.

It has happened to me as well, I as well take snapshots of the game as I progress
I was not given a pony I won once , and at another time I was switched of the group I was in , to some other one and my score was way low compared to the other group , also on another time , the points were reset on me on day 3 ,in the middle of the 7 day game on the mine ,i was able to catch up again but it was so not cool of them to reset my points.

I didn't get my pony either when Cheese Sandwich was the prize. I wasn't happy at all since it was a lot of work and spending a whole week playing.

Anyone have and tips for playing the EQ mini-game?

Play it on a brand new tablet is my advice   Went from being crap at the game to awesome when I got a new iPad mini.

Outside of that, hold your device sideways so you can easily hover you hands over the horse shoes.  The fast tap yellow ones you kind of need to tap with the beat. Make sure you always dance with he top dancers in your friends list for the best bonus scores.

Yes, never change the dancer selected , if you do your percentage of points goes down from the max 4 % of that character ,the rest are lower , and I second to always select the top players as well, otherwise the extra points of the 2 other players will also go down,because  the triple credits reduced if those players did not played it well, like one time I was randomly given two other players and they had just not played at all, they missed the whole thing , like they just made the song play for them LOL and they did not play at all    so no extra points at all with them .

Altho this only applies after you have all the main six ponies leveled up to 5 stars. Before that always pick the pony that'll give you the highest combined bonus. It is better to play with a character that has 3% or even 2% bonus but full five stars, than the one that has 4% bonus but one tor two stars.

Also did someone already mention, play with the sound OFF. The music never seems to be in sync with the horse shoes.

The star game is near impossible and the game is getting very selective about the hits I get in the dance game    All the other games have no issues so not sure if my phone is being funny or if it's the game.
