Yay, Gameloft recovered my lost data!  It's missing a little bit of my most recent activities, but I'm really glad to be able to play again!

I logged in today for the first time today in ages and was glad to see I had some more quests to do!

Noticed that the gem balloon pop costs 20 now instead of 10 (I think?) Have there been changes to the prizes that it gives you, or is it just to make people spend more money?

What does everyone think of the new update with the dragons. I was happy to see a new quest in Ponyville but it was "Build a Movie Theater and watch videos" and after I built it there were no new videos to watch because I watched them a long time ago in Canterlot. I had to use a gem to skip it but I got my gem back since you got a gem as a reward.  I'm not sure what I think of the sapphires yet. That might depend on how many you can get. I noticed the gem balloon pop at least on Android/Google Play now costs 500 sapphires.

I was really disappointed that they raised the Gem Balloon Pop. I mean seriously People would still be buying Gems if their game would stop resetting. My Kindle has decided it doesn't like Level 90 so it keeps resetting to Level 65 If I hadn't completed the ponyville and canterlot quests and bought ponies like Granny Smith and Princess Celestia I'd probably not worry too much about the reset... I recently got an iPad so I have been playing on there.
I see that they have completely removed Friends, no more dancing with friends this makes me sad. However if it was the bug causing all the resets then I'm cool with that.

Today I tried playing the crystal mine minigame as the Shadowbolts. It didn't help; a shadowbolt still knocked me out of my cart. Where is the loyalty?!

What's the situation with sapphires? Don't think the update has come to kindle yet.

They seem to replace hearts, because the friend system was removed. (Except you still get hearts a few times a day, so I guess the existing heart-costing ponies must still be around?) But you only get them by spending element shards on a dragon, who then jumps into a lava pit for three hours before you get another chance. There are a whole bunch of sapphire-costing shops and ponies, the cheapest price being 500, but it looks like it's all a limited-time event.

That sounds complicated As my game hasn't updated, I've still been sending hearts, but I had noticed a drop off. Does that mean no more chests either?

The hearts come in chests. You get a friends list of the main six ponies minus Twilight, plus Celestia, Spike, and Cadance, each of whom has their own distinct version/layout of Ponyville, like the automatic Celestia friend from before but times eight. You can visit each of them and send them chests too, but it serves no purpose other than fulfilling the quests that need you to do that.

(Celestia and Applejack are level 50; Cadance is level 40; Spike, Fluttershy, and Rarity are level 30; Pinkie Pie is level 20; and Rainbow Dash is level 2 for some reason.)

Game loft tried there best to work with me on my level 90 kindle game. However it kept resetting to level 65. So I asked them to send my gems to my iPad and they did. I'll just have to complete the quests again but aleast I have all my gems I paid for. Also they were kind enough to transfer King Sombra. I'm happy with their customer service.
