HOLY HOLY HOLY CRAP!!!!!! Firefly!!!??! Maybe in brushable G4 version?!   

If this is a brushable G4 pony, man finally hasbro is redeeming themselves! I think if they kept creating online release only G1 ponies in G4 molds they would sell amazingly well, crosses fingers and  bought one!

Lot's of speculation on EQD saying she will be Rainbow's mom and there is a LOT of support too! Didn't see any negativity and they are mostly bronies on there, just saying I think everyone is in full support for Firefly to be her mother.

Its one of their mini editions though - those books are quite small and in fact the size of the product is not large enough for a brushable. Big enough for a blind bag but that does not make sense with the "rooted hair" line. Perhaps its one of the Dollymix size ponies.

Intriguing. I pulled up Perseus/Running Press catalog and didn't find anything yet.  I might have an email contact there, might shoot them an email.
