question about G1 sweet dreams crib set

i spotted sometime ago this auction and was surprised to see a variation of the crib, for so many year i have only ever seen the yellow base on this set not a pink base.

i know there is always something new to learn even with the oldest gen and the many years i have been collecting there is always something new popping up. is this normal, was it just another variation i missed along the way or was it a certain country thing, how come i haven't spotted this before and is it new to other pony peeps out there too?

now i know there is a variation to the bath tub set too, i have heard there is a blue one and a green one, is that a US/int' thing too?

Thats not actually MLP Hasbro love to reuse moulds for accessories. The crib with the pink base is actually from the Puppy Surprise line - out in the early 90s.

Also there is no variation in the bathtub - thats just due to a discolouration.

The pink duck toy is from a different Hasbro line. Its called Love a Bye Baby
