Yeah I think so but I thought some collector on here must of snagged him or something he looks amazing a prototype I couldn't resist if I ever saw it!

That second one is a prototype (which i happen to like a lot more than the final lol) and I don't think anyone owns him!

I think thats actually my photo. In any case, he was the prototype from the castle set, assumedly before the show design for shining armor was finalized. He is my ultimate grail, he exists somewhere! Though he is probably buried in the depths of hasbros storage cabinets never to see the light of day again 

As for fashion shining armor no some factory worker just didnt cut his tail short enough.

I doubt it's a new Fashion Style Shining Armor. At first I thought the blue prototype was a new Fashion Style boy pony...but then I saw the cutie mark...

Anyways, yeah...prototypes, already released...etc
