Holy wow SpottedSlug that is amazing!

My greatest score

1. Flea market find in Houston, TX.  2 Indian ponies Butterscotch and Bluebelle.  Originally I passed them up as I do not collect CP ponies.  But get this...my husband says go back for them just in case!  Lol!

2. Bargain priced 2 for $3

3. They have since been sold to lovely arena members and I no longer have their pics.

I've never heard of another lot like this for the same price. It was one of my very first posts in the "new" (lol, old? it was new to me then... but they've since moved and now it's "new" again?) TP. I never thought I'd get to post my mega brag again. ;)

 :dropjaw:  :ack:  :faint:

My big brag seems so small now.......

1: Found at a flea market next to TRU last Jan.
2: $2.00 for the whole bag!

And Baby Pineapple was at the top of my want list at the time! I was planning on buying her at the Fair and spending WAY more than $2.00. Thanks to this find I was able to spend that money on other ponies.

Wow, these are GREAT!!  I'm in shock :)

Mine was Red Roses last week for $.25 in great shape.  My husband also found an adult G1 ballerina pony in a free bin at a garage sale, so that was awesome!

Nothing close to spottedslug, holy moly!!!

Back then, as a newbie... or rather an oldbie who came back under a new username, heh... it wasn't well received. People didn't believe me.

I'm not surprised, honestly! I looked all that over, and kept thinking, "No. No, that CAN'T be real. Uh. Nope. :drama:" XD

Man were you lucky!! Huge belated congrats! And you're right, Marlin, I am so green right now - probably the exact shade of Mimic!
I'll put something here some time

I don't have photos from anything recently... but, I think to date two of my best purchases were my $2 Baby Blue Ribbon who's super mint and $2 Sea Mist adult sea pony... I've found others like $0.50 Skydancer (winger), but I still always remember how over the moon I was to find that BBR and Sea Mist (got them at the same place)... so I still think that's my best bargain!

Some of you guys have had AMAZING pony luck! I still hope to find a regular Peachy or anything G1 when I go out, let alone something rare, haha!

Slug, that is awesome!  :D. I love these type of threads.

My best bargains so at:

1.  Thrift store, last summer
2.  $3
3.  visitors can't see pics , please register or login

My other biggest brag was from that same thrift store in 2009.  I found 104 g1 ponies in one go, priced at $1-$2 each, including many off of my wish list.  I just filled a cart of g1s and my best finds of the day were Lemon Treats, Nightglider, a couple of wingers and a couple of boys.  These pics are all from the same brag:

I found a Diamond Dreams for a dollar at the thrift store and my friend found about 60 G1s for me at the flea market for $15 once :D

hehe, thanks everyone. It feels better than the "Yeah, riiiiiight." I got the first time around. :P I totally get it though. If I new member came here and posted about that I'd be thinking the same thing. It was more common back then to be able to get cheap lots on ebay because most non collectors didn't know about collectors so they were just clearing old toys.

mermaid_splash, you wouldn't happen to remember the name and/or location of that flea market, would you? Sounds like I have some place I need to check out!

Thanks for sharing everyone! Totally loving all of these stories so far :) Mikeysgrrrl, it's always great to get a big lot for a bargain price and make your money back by selling on the ones you don't want. Mlphammy, an Indian for $3 is pretty AMAZING, congrats! Icecrystalline, particularly impressed by the Snowflake WITH her brush for such a low price. Ianthe99, your bag of ponies (and pony FRIENDS, notably!) would literally be my dream find. Major congrats, and yes, persistence does pay off :) MiRaja, I also happen to own a couple of kimono, so very much appreciate how chuffed you must have been with that purchase! Kiwimlp, WHAT an amazing find, I bet you were smiling for the rest of the day!

Another kimono collector?  Do tell or show, or whichever.  :3  Curiosity kill the cat, what can I say?
