Pfft..."adult collectible" my back hoof  >_< she's still a toy to me and another member to add to the herd. Just for me to take out of the box and play with... wash her hair and whatnot ^.^
But how the heck am I going to acquire her at $50 + tax?

They could have at least cut and styled her hair properly as she's supposedly meant for sitting on your shelf rather than having her mane brushed and re-styled and all.

If they released princess fashion styles with those wings (provided they actually matched...) I would be veeeery tempted to grab the FS ponies as well. I really don't like the current FS wings XD
Idly searching for: loose, good condition G4 Blossomforth, Starbeam Twinkle, Plumsweet. TTM Celestia doll's wings Within UK or EU only, please.
Will also take in Pretty Pony Club (UK magazine) fakies.

Argh, I love this design, but not $50 worth of love! Hopefully they go on a 50% off sale and I can snag one for a reasonable price.

*want*

I have a thing for tack and loudness and things that just shouldn't work.... but for me, they do. The amount of things I've bought because "it's just too horrible not too" and they are things I still own years later because they grow.

I can see why not everyone likes it, but also not everyone (or at least I hope I'm not the only one in the world :) ) minds to much about show accuracy and such. Yeah I get that a newer character would be a better choice, but I like this one and I'm proud to say so

I was going to get one off Taobao but I need the packaging now :P Give me two months Hasbro and I'm there ^_^

What market research showed that adult collectors wanted this? Read a thread and this does not reflect what we want. Even the Brony community appears to not be fans. It's not show accurate, after all!

This should have been the Fair/SDCC pony. I'm guessing the crystals aren't very child safe but to be honest it just looks like something from one of the customizers on here.

Honestly, this doesn't surprise me.  It's very similar to what happened with the G3s.  Hasbro asked what the collectors wanted to see and we kept saying pretty much the same things "Non-Earth ponies, Sea Ponies and Boys."  Things like that.  They bit just a little and gave us a few unicorns and pegasi... pegasuses?  Winged ones, but then seemed to just flip us all the bird and take the "It's our line, we'll do what we want with it" mentality and drove it into the ground with the Core 7 move.

It seems to me like this is what Hasbro *wants* us to want - probably because it was easy to design and make, since they already had 90% of the work done.  Now, they're trying to play it up to the collector crowd by labeling it as something that we all ought to go crazy about.  I know that several of us (probably me, included...) will end up with her in our collections because that's the typical nature of collecting, but it *would* be nice if they'd make the "collector pieces" ponies that we actually pushed for and want.  Please note that this is ALL my personal opinion on the matter, and not a broad declaration of what might actually be going on.  Not aiming to upset :)

Uh.... so what about this 'adult collectible' makes it any different from the standard playline? A high price-tag?

Definite pass for me. Honestly I would be passing on her even if she was the same price point as normal fashion style ponies. Just not into all the crystals they have studded all over her.
