Question about the latest generations
« on: July 03, 2013, 08:18:56 AM »
I have been out of the loop for a while and when I was in this second-hand store today I found a pinkie pie. It's head is way oversized and she's quite heavy. You can turn her head. Can someone tell me what I have here? She doesn't look like the G3's I have and not like the new ponies in the stores.

Well yes, she's scary indeed :p This one has its mouth closed I think. The mane and tail have been cropped too. Maybe she'll make someone very happy, but not me, she's freaky indeed. But a pony is a pony :)

G3.5 are the new G2, in that they're the new 'lost' (as in the point was completely lost on everyone!) generation! I don't think they'll have a massive comeback like the G2's did, but some collectors love them.. But even if they did there's only 10 unique characters, so it wouldn't last long, lol!

Congrats on your new pony though, any pony is a good pony, I say!!

Yes I think they are going to largely remain the most unloved generation. However, I do find it odd how much they are disliked sometimes as they are in many ways the closest to G4 of all previous gens. If you compare features and size scales, G3.5 Pinkie is the most like G4 Pinkie than any other pony.

I will advance warn not to expect too much in the way of $ for her but I am sure with time you will find someone who is interested.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
Loa is my love god!
I love Loa more than PonyLady!
