Your My Little Pony Fair Forecast Thread

What it says on the tin.  Check here for the weather forecast for Indie during the fair.  I'll update this twice a day in the morning and evening with the latest forecast.

We currently only have Thursday, so this is the weather expected while heading to the fair early.

Thursday:  A chance of showers and thunderstorms with a high around 80.

Stay tuned for further updates and know the forecast given on any particular day is not what the weather will necessarily be, it's just what it looks like it will be at the time the forecast was made.

Great idea!  I just checked the weather while looking up weather for a potential trip to Mackinac Island tomorrow...seeing 4th of July already showing up on the sidebar reminded me!

Sorry, this is actually next Thursday's forecast (I thought it was Friday.)  Oh well, I'll do Friday through Monday and maybe keep doing Thursday and add Tuesday if enough people want them.  I'm getting this information from the National Weather Service website if you want to check it out for yourself.  I'll also add severe weather potential (if any) starting next Wednesday from the Storm Prediction Center's site.

I only live about an hour outside of Indianapolis, and we've had some pretty bad storms this week with lots of flooding. Gonna cross my fingers pretty tight for next week, but Indiana is the land of unpredictable weather, so be prepared for anything. I'll certainly be checking back here!

Sounds like Michigan xD If it isn't super hot/humid it's raining xD I kind of prefer the rain a bit more :P

My mom loves the rain.

Looking at the long range forecast models, it looks like Indianapolis and much of the Great Lakes and Midwest for that matter will be influenced by a deamplifying trough as the upper flow becomes more zonal going into next week.  Remember this is more than a week out, so nothing is written in stone and the details are still unclear.

It's looking like temperatures will be at or slightly below normal (upper 70s to low 80s) and the weather will be dry through the weekend with things becoming in unsettled going into the work week.  Again, this isn't for certain, just what the models are saying at the moment.

Weather.com's 10 forecast says this.

Friday:  Partly cloudy, Hi 84, Lo 68
Saturday: Partly cloud, Hi 85, Lo 69
Sunday: Cloudy, Hi 86, Lo 70

So, mid 80's for highs and upper 60's to around 70 for lows.  However, things look dry at the moment for the fair.

Stay tuned.  I'm only going with Weather.com right now because they're the only ones who forecast this far out.  I'll be going with the National Weather Service once the fair falls within their forecast range.

Time to start the forecast cycle.

Friday:  Mostly Sunny with a high of 83.

Looks like a good day for travel and settling.

This evening we should have the first NWS at Saturday.

It can get humid.

Your latest weather forecast.

Friday:  Mostly Sunny, High 82
Friday Night: Mostly Cloud, Low 68
Saturday: Mostly cloud with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, High 81

Friday still looks like a perfect day to travel and see the sites before settling in to celebrate pony.  Saturday looks like a good day to stay inside and take part in the fair's festivities.

Remember, nothing is set in stone at the moment and things could look very different later next week as the weekend approaches.  A 40 percent change also means it's not a given rain will happen.

I was thinking of posting my thoughts of the model data, but that might be a little too technical.
