G1 restoration lot - Before and After Photos

About a month ago I purchased a restore lot from a lovely arena member. Surprisingly I didn't already own most of these beauties. I thought it would be fun to share their before and after photos (because I love seeing other's before and after shots). The ponies in the lot had issues ranging from the need for a magic eraser, to requiring full re-hair and deflocking (according to my standards...don't hate on me for deflocking). So here we go...

Glory just needed a good scrubbing and a symbol touch up:

Cupcake had some marker and stains on her flocking, so I deflocked:

Medley needed a scrubbing and symbol touch up. She is the only character in the lot I already own:

Twist was terrible. She was deflocked and fully re-haired. I LOVE her:

Sunspot needed ink marks cleaned, and symbol touch up.  I also dyed her hair a darker pink (because I think it looks nicer):

Wind Whistler was deflocked and gently re-pinked:

There were also two Gingerbreads and a Cherry treats in the lot, but they are more stubborn (no sun fading etc.) and I'm still contemplating their fate.  ;)

WOW!! Amazing job, especially with the deflocks!! I just love how SS ponies look when deflocked, so vibrant! ^-^

I would totally deflock Twist if I ever got one. She is just GORGEOUS underneath that flocking.

Absolutely gorgeous!

I love Twist so much deflocked, which reminds me I have one that needs to be. I think I shall work on that this weekend! Thanks for the inspiration.

I love seeing others' befores and afters, too - and so do my ponies, 'cause it motivates me to tackle new fixer-upper projects. :biggrin:  So congrats on the great work, and thank you for the inspiration. ^.^
