Fair location rotation question!
« on: June 03, 2013, 01:40:55 PM »
So I'm a new to the pony fairs/cons. I know this year it's going to be held in Indianapolis and last year it was held in Florida... Does anyone know where it will be held next year? Is there a set rotation as to which states it goes to? Thanks guys!

there's no set rotation and next year's location will be selected within a few months after this year's Fair
it changes location every year
and so far it's only repeated a location once - because that location was Hasbro's factory in Pawtucket, RI :) well worth repeating
follow the Fair's FB page and the Arena to find out where it will be next year

I didn't see Ohio or Michigan on the list. I just hope its some where near me and its announced fairly early so hopefully I can plan it into my budget.
I encourage you to check out my feedback on eBay and here at the arena.

I dunno...the last four years have been mid and east coast. I'd say it's about time for a west coast year!

I was hoping Chicago this year, but I was super thrilled with Indy. Some west coast places would be cool.

I was hoping for Chicago as well, but for biased reasons. I am very happy with Indy as it is still very close to me.

Well, I definitely think that it should be in Texas.  The fair hasn't ever been in this direction at all.  Plus, I just don't think that I will ever be able to make it to one unless it is within a 4-5 hour drive of me.  San Antonio and Austin are just full of interesting things to do!  ( And there's also Houston and Dallas/Ft. Worth, too)

normally there's a poll AFTER the Fair that is taken into consideration when planning the next year

*lol*  ya, it's a little early, isn't it!   And just so no one gets confused, the poll is more for fun or suggestions.   Just because a city is popular doesn't mean it's going to have affordable venues at our size.

We probably won't know location till closer to the end of the year.   The Indy Fair wasn't announced till Nov 29th, so we're going to have to be patient :)
