My first custom! Lil' Punk/Anarcho

Hello everyone! :)

After years and years of looking on at all of you wonderful artists' lovely customs... I finally decided to make my own. I know he doesn't compare, but I'm proud of him! :) I actually made him right around Valentine's Day as a gift for my boyfriend. I was kind of broke at the time and so I thought it would be a nice, thoughtful present. He's not a pony fan, but he loved this because it was made just for him. :)

I named him Lil' Punk - my boyfriend is a punk himself, so I thought it was fitting. He is calling him "Anarcho," though... so I suppose he can be called both. :)

Bait was a Lucky the Stallion with all of his mane chopped off and missing his tail. His symbols were completely gone already as well. I rehaired him with Dolly Hair's Cherry Pie and Black Magick, adding more roots so he could have a red stripe on either side of his mohawk. I repainted his eyes and symbols (which were intended to look a little messy being punk and all!) and made him a little red and black friendship bracelet (also a first for me). Also added several piercings which my boyfriend has in real life.

Please do let me know what you think of him, but be gentle on me! He is my first and I adore him.

PS: KBR are my bf's initials in case anyone was wondering what that part of it meant! I also had red fading to black gradient on parts of the symbols but didn't get decent pictures before I sent him off to live with my bf. >_< Doh!

Wow, thank you so much for your comments colorscape & NoDivision! Means the world to me. :) Yes, he is my first. I have rehaired a few ponies but never have attempted painting symbols. I don't have any fabulous brushes so I just used the tip of a needle dipped in paint. My hand was shaking pretty bad for the music note in particular... was so worried I'd screw it up!

I probably did cheat a little bit though. I drew what I wanted with pencil first and did a bit of erasing and redrawing until I had it exactly how I wanted it. Only then did I attempt to paint with my needle point!

This. And it it something I REALLY need to do more. Wow, your first really shows potential. Lovely work, so delicate! Look forward to seeing more from you now you caught the bug ;) I love the way your peircings look perfect!
