Anyone want to party?

I am considering printing invitations to a private party in my room at the Sheraton, which will be handed out to people my friend and I meet during the activities that day. The party would be 21+, byob (or byol, we like liquor too!  ). We will check id at the door, I don't want any underage drinking on my hands.

I know this is a family event, I plan to keep my daytime activities strictly family oriented. However, My hotel room is not going to be child friendly after dark

I haven't been to a party where I didn't have to drive home afterward in a couple of years, so I figure this is a good time to have one and meet some new people!

So I guess I started this thread to ask if this is a good idea, would anyone be interested? Or is this a terrible idea and no one wants to join in my drunken heathen antics?

I don't think it's a bad idea at all. When I'm not at the fair, I will be having drunken fun with my brothers. I was wondering if any Arena members would want to go out with us after the fair.

My friend and I were thinking if we didn't get to have a room party we would try to find the closest bar within walking distance and get smashed and walk back to the hotel. Like I said, I plan to take full advantage of the fact that I don't have to drive home.

second this! Though it takes a LOT for me to have a hangover! Which is surprising to me because I don't drink that often.

I have a high tolerance, but I tend to abuse that tolerance.   And one of my brothers sure knows how to push the alcohol on me! Well, maybe those of us who want to can meet up and go drinking after we are done at the fair. My brothers are nice and said they'd dedicate most of Saturday to the fair for me. Great that two middle aged men who have ZERO interest in ponies will be spending this fair time with me. It's gonna be very interesting. LOL

And leave a very bad impression for the pony community. I don't really want to be known as a group that is loud and obnoxious and disruptive. I am all for having a raucously good time, but I don't think the hotel is the appropriate place for it.
