This reminds me of the thread where (cannot remember who...really sorry...my brain is not working these days) was reztoring a baby moondancer or glory and found dead bug larvae inth hoof when she popped the head off. I don't know which is worse but can say I bet they will be gorgeous when cleaned : )

I had a really nasty moldy baby pony.  My dad thankfully cleaned it for me.

(side I found some dead centipedes last Christmas in my uncles hot chocolate...)

Ewwwwww - I have had to deal with this a few times. Bleh, pick them out, sterilize, go on with life.  But certainly GROSS!

I was sending out ponies from when I was just clearing out stuff and throwing it into bags, and after they were in the mail I started opening the ones I kept and kept finding little dead beetles and stuff.

I really really hope no one ended up with any dead bugs because of me.

I opened up a G3 and found a dead stinkbug inside... Those things get EVERYWHERE here.

Now I'm glad the worst I've had to deal with are just dirty ponies, rusty ponies and one or two sort of mouldy ponies, Touch wood.

Well when pony hunting I have dug through some pretty nasty looking boxes though,. Eugh

I'm really chill about any bug that can't cause me serious harm. My normal reaction to a spider in my room is to ignore it and go about with my business. But THIS would kill me! I don't mind seeing live worms in the ground, and dead bugs are gross but can be dealt with easily, so no big deal. There's just something about finding live worms in pony hair that makes me want to cry.

Luckily I've never had to deal with this kind of thing, but I haven't done a ton of secondhand buying yet. The worst I've had to deal with was some bits of crumb stuck in a pony's hair. That and my childhood fakie... I found it behind my bed where it had been sitting against the sliding glass door for years. She had such a potent mildewy smell that took forever to fade (yet somehow no mold). That's nothing in comparison to bugs, though. xD

Just going through some ponies I brought from eBay a week a go.... Finding 3 dead centipedes including one that was still attached to a dead spider... Mangled in the hair of ponies.... Gross... I was doing it on my bed and now yuck... Sorry I hate bugs... On a funny note I have a strawberry fair with a receding hairline... The quality of hair on her is so bad the hair but have snapped off at some point.... Still going through the box hoping no more dead bugs are lying in wait...

Yuck. The worst I've ever found in a pony is a small, dead fly. I've had my share of funky-looking mould though!

When I first got my childhood cotton candy pajama case out of storage I opened up her pouch, thinking how nice it would be if I'd stored a pony in there and forgotten about it. Nope. Dead wasp.
