Oh my, Sunset Shimmer early?

I am so excited about confirmation that the official pony is orange- but the prototype is red!  So glad I am getting both !!!!

But do we really have that confirmation? The person's who got theirs from Toywiz has red hair. Isn't that just an online toy retailer who wouldn't have "prototypes" or random taobao variants? I'm still confused...

I went to TRU for their Easter sale last Thursday and they had some of the Masquerade ponies out, so I got them for $2.99 each.

The Sunset Shimmer I got from eBay has "red" / "red-orange" in her mane, but her tail is like a "neon"/brighter orange. From what I could tell, at least.

Sure-  the ones coming in from ebay/Taobao are definitely red (by red I mean matching rainbow dash red)-  and now that people are getting the ones from Hasbrotoyshop and Toywiz-  as far as I've heard anyway, they are all orange

My guess is that they switched colors at some point-  the prototype PHOTOS on toywiz and BBTS and hasbrotoyshop show red-  but the packaged ponies that we have seen so far have orange.  In contrast- the loose ponies from Taobao and ebay have had red hair (red hair like rainbow dash red).

Always a possibility they will release the ponies with both colors- but that seems unlikely...

Well, the ones I got from Hasbrotoyshop match RD's "red" hair, which isn't really red, more of a dark orange.

I've got mine on the way not a G4 collector but I loved her as soon as I saw her so she'll be my very first G4.  Got her off Ebay so looking forward to see her hair colour I'd rather red :-)

Yay, got mine the other day. Seems like they are making the heads of the ponies differently now.  The head matches the body well, but you can see seams on her cheeks. Also the plastic looks softer and shinier.
