Blind Bag wave 8

Browsing ebay today looking for blind bags when I noticed a new item from China! Looks like wave 8 to me.

It's the 'apple wave' with the flam brothers

lots of re-used characters. Interesting that gilda and granny smith are in this wave. perhaps this explains the price increase in blind bags we've been seeing? Look, a new boy in the shining armor mold! Comet Tail, I like him! these are going to be like wave 7, transparent body, painted hair etc.

Ooh I saw these on UK equestria, someone had posted a thread on their merch forum from Tesco.com.  I thought it was a mistake on the tesco website.  So happy its actually a new wave

Blech, I think I'll pass on this entire wave. Only ones I'd want are Flim, Flam, and Comet Tail, and I'm hoping they will make solid versions of them later.

Part of me wants to scream "ALL OF THEM. EVERY. LAST. ONE". I downloaded the picture of the back of the package and removed all but the ones I REALLY want from the picture to give myself a more realistic list.
Hooray for Comet Tail, the second male unicorn to get a toy in G4! He kind of looks like Lemon Heart's brother :O

Think I'll wait until they release solid versions of Flim and Flam (they'll probably make a Mini Collection set out of them eventually). Glad they're using Shining's mold for unicorn stallions though! Now we just need pegasus stallions.

My friend is excited that there is both a Flim and a Flam.

I spotted these  yesterday [oddly when looking for MH items ]

Here is another picture of them individually.

We have seen some of these characters floating around Taobao for a few months as this wave includes the transparent Big Mac and Mosely Orange, etc. But the remainder just look like re releases of the Ponyville Friends packs - Granny Smith, Lotus Blossom, Gilda, etc etc.

aw so they aren't glow-in-the-dark ..... well good i need to stop collecting these all the time, i will just stick to the three non re-released ponies then.

My bet is that we'll start seeing her in the fall. Hasbro & co. seem to be holding all alitwi merch until the fall and releasing it in one big bunch.

I also think we'll see her in a Mini Collection set before we see her in regular blind bag releases.
