Information About New TRU Exclusives

Ooooh- Shadowbolt RD will be a bit pricey!  But I will still get her- she looks awesome!  I guess she will be the next Zecora.  I wonder if her hair will be similar to the prototype and whether they will keep in some of the painted details like the stitching...

I'm definitely getting the Favorites collection too- and Nightmare Moon of course...

If the talking Nightmare Moon is just like the Princess Celestia's and Primcess Cadance than her price is high. The most I have seen one cost around where I live is 23.99 and that price lowered because they were not selling. Rainbow Dash seems pricey but Zecore went from $9..99 to $14.99 and even high in some places when she came out. I kinda think $14.99 was suppose to be Zecore's real price. The collectors set price seems reasonable if it stays that price. Thanks for posting.

WHY? Just because they got away with it with Zecora?I dont like this whole charging 2-3x the price for a single pony thing, although I can't say I'm surprised. If they're going to charge that much for her, she'd better talk, glow, and/or sing the national anthem

Zecora started out as $10 at TRU-  then they jacked the price up to $14- probably because they realized they should be cashing in (or maybe to slow down the scalping)  I guess I'd rather pay TRU $14 than never get her at all because the scalpers bought them all up and are selling them on ebay for $25 + shipping...

Lol, I agree. Unless of course, the Shadowbolt is a new mold, then I could see the need for a higher price. I'll do my own version of boycotting, though--I won't buy one, just like I didn't buy a Zecora.

They are all a bit high, but I like them all and will be saving up. We only live once and cant bring our money with us when we die. So lets enjoy these ponies   Thank you for letting us know that also Sprinkles

Agreed.  It's not really a toy at this point (with all that extra production cost); it's a collectable, so under $20 is probably reasonable.

Well, she does have glow-in-the-dark 'elements', but I agree with you.

Bleh...I'm glad a lot of people really like Shadowbolt RD but I really don't see the appeal, especially not for 3x the cost of a regular pony!

I think I can more or less stomach the cost of the new Favorites set. I'm actually shocked and of course pleased that they didn't stick any main 6 girls into it this time! That really put me off the last one but this time around I think I'll be splurging.

Hopefully I'll be able to get them all.  Favorites set is #1 priority, then Nightmare Moon, then Shadowbolt Dash.  She's kinda underwhelming for me, but I'd still like to have her in my collection.

I am not thrilled about the price of Shadow Dash either. She may have more detail, but those are not hand painted, so I don't think the price needs to go up. Other generations have had detailed ponies, and the price has not gone up.

Don't get me wrong.....I'll still be buying them. But I'll be shaking my fist the entire time.
